On July 19, 2019, New Hampshire Motor Speedway will feature Friday Night Dirt Duels presented by New England Racing Fuel! This will be the first race on New Hampshire Motor Speedway's Flat Track, the only dirt track in the Northeast.

The race will be headlined by the U.S. Legend Cars International and the USAC Dirt Midget Association and feature a night of short track racing with NASCAR stars on the 0.25-mile dirt track.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Corey LaJoie and Daniel Hemric, both former Legend Car drivers, will be returning to their racing roots as the Promoter Provisionals in the 35-lap U.S. Legend Cars International feature event. Their fellow Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney will be serving as Grand Marshal.

In total, there will be twenty drivers in the A-main feature, and they will have the chance to take home $2,000! This is the largest legends purse in the Northeast this season.

All twenty competitors will be able to receive a cash prize, and there will also be a prize called the Hard Charger. This will be awarded to the driver that persevered on the track despite any challenges they may have faced.

The Dirt Duels will be able to bring drivers of all levels together to have fun and to compete.  It is going to be an amazing night filled with excitement for everyone to try out the newest track in the region!

This is a U.S. Legend Cars sanctioned race, which makes it eligible for national points in our dirt division. Each competitor must be registered and have a current up to date INEX membership.

Regarding format, tentatively there will be four heat races of ten laps each; the heat race lineup will be determined by random draw.

The top 3 finishers from each heat race will advance to the A-Main feature race.  Heat race positions four through ten will advance to either  Consi race 1 or Consi race 2. The top two finishers from each Consi race will advance to the A-Main feature race.

Consi race positions 3-14 will advance to the B-Main feature race. The top 2 finishers from the B-Main will advance to the A-main feature.

The A-Main will be a 35 lap race, with a 20 car field. The field will be made up of the top 3 cars from each heat race, the B-Main top 2, the top 2 from Consi 1 and Consi 2, and 2 Promoters Provisionals.

Granite State Legend Cars will be enforcing a dirt tire rule and will have the INEX Certified MD57 American Racer Tire available for sale at the track.

Entry fees for drivers are set at $50 with pit passes available for $15. There will also be an open test day on Saturday, June 29.

The Flat Track, located directly behind the North East Motor Sports Museum, is the first track to be built in New England in the last 25 years. Crews turned roughly 186,095 square feet of ground and 3,000 tons of clay to build the 0.25-mile track. Construction began last fall, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on June 6, 2019.
