Our 2019 Dirt Oval Masters Champion, Mike Mueller, is from Waupun Wisconsin and can be found spending his time at the Beaver Dam Raceway.

Mueller started off racing four cylinders in 2002 and got into Legend racing in 2005. Mueller states, "I got started racing when my wife's brother raced and needed some help in the pits. I found out that I enjoyed racing, and we built a car."

Mueller says that this Championship is an awesome completion to a very long season. "There was a lot of great racing with other great drivers." He says that if he could do one race over, he would choose Dirt Nations. "I think I had a car that could have won."

He says that his biggest struggle this season was being able to come from behind in Masters Points and race Dave Eberly for the point's Championship at 141 Speedway.

Mueller says that his most memorable racing moment this season was getting beat by his grandson, Ryan Sullivan.

He advises the next group of drivers following behind him, too, "race hard and never give up. Most of all, HAVE FUN!" When asked what his plans for the 2020 season are, he replied, "To beat my grandson more than he beats me."

He would like to thank his whole family, crew chief Justin Straks and especially his wife, Carolyn Mueller.

Congratulations to our 2019 Dirt Oval Masters Champion, Mike Mueller.

Next week we'll be featuring Dirt Oval Pro Champion, Drew Papke!
