Our 2019 Bandolero Bandit East Champion is Layton Harrison from Dinwiddie, Virginia! You can find Harrison at his home track at Southside Speedway. He started his racing career at age four racing go-karts. Harrison has now been racing for seven years.

Over his seven years of racing, Harrison has made a lot of memorable moments. When asked if he could redo any race, he replied with, "I would like to redo the National race in Atlanta. I would want to be more consistent."

His biggest struggle this season was in Citrus. "I had to overcome the conflict of driving an unrestricted car.  The continuous traveling to find a car count in our division for national points was also a struggle for us."

Harrison also recalls one of his most memorable moments this season. "My most memorable moment would be winning the series at The Spring Battle."

Harrison says that this Bandolero Bandit East Championship means a lot to him. "As a family, we have put in a lot of work and dedication. I was also able to meet a lot of great people abroad." Harrison would like to thank his mom and dad as well as his sponsors, Generac, Hales Electric, Jimmy's Welding, Dewitt Tire, and Affordable Glass. "Without these guys, this would not have been possible."

Congratulations to our 2019 Bandolero Bandit East Champion, Layton Harrison!
