After two years away, the U.S. Legend Cars International Asphalt Nationals are heading South! Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, South Carolina, will be hosting our Legend Car competitors November 12-14 in the final asphalt event of the 2015 season.

This three day event will give racers a final chance to lock in points, and determine their position in the INEX National Point Standings.

Anderson Motor Speedway was originally built as a dirt track in 1963, the same time Interstate 85 construction was underway. Being so close to the developing interstate and the excess dirt it produced, was a huge asset to the creation of the track. After almost 25 years of dirt racing, the owners of the track, the Porter family, had it paved. Since the surface change in 1987, the 3/8 mile oval track holds a number of events throughout their season; Legend Cars, Late Models, Renegades, and many more utilize the facility.

Sylvia Porter, whose family has owned the track for over 50 years, is looking forward to hosting this year's Asphalt Nationals. "With last year's Asphalt Nationals being in Las Vegas, it limited the amount of Southern cars competing. This year they'll have an opportunity to come out and race with us," says Porter.

We look forward to seeing you in November for the 2015 Asphalt Nationals! Keep an eye out for more event information throughout the season!
