Shutting off a Bandolero Engine

When a Bandolero engines external ground is lost (crash, loose wire, bad connection, etc.), the ability to shut off the engine with the switches is also lost.

To shut the engine down at this point, the spark plug wires must be removed from the spark plugs. In order to do this, the safety workers / track crew must have something to get a hold of to pull the spark plug wires off. The best method of ensuring that the track workers can get your spark plug wires off is to attach a long zip tie (cable tie) to the spark plug wire boot. This should not interfere with anything in the engine compartment. However, it will make getting the engine shut down in an emergency situation a lot easier. Taking a few minutes installing these zip ties could speed up the response time in getting to the driver and also save your motor from "other methods" of getting it shut off in an emergency situation.
