To accommodate an exciting new lineup of Bandolero Bandit racers at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Kangaroo Express  Summer Shootout Series, Bandolero Bandits with little or no previous racing experience will have the option to participate in a Beginner Bandits division.  This division will provide eligible racers an opportunity to compete in their own division,  preparing  them to compete with the more experienced racers in the Bandits division. Below is a basic overview of how the Bandolero Beginner Bandits division will be treated at the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

1. The Beginner Bandits points will be awarded as a Bandits B-Feature for the Summer Shootout and INEX National Points.
2. The goal is to TRAIN these drivers to move into the Bandits division.
3. Racers in this division will draw for their starting positions and will run a heat race and feature event.
4. Once drivers in this division have won two feature events or display ability, over and above the others, they are moved to the Bandits division.
5. Understanding this is a beginner division we are less critical regarding initial starts and restarts. The motive being, teaching these drivers how to race and expose them to actual racing conditions.
