Thoughts and Prayers go out to 600 Racing dealer Don Stevens and Family


Connie Stevens

Constance S. "Connie" Stevens, 65 of Carlisle, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, at Hershey Medical Center.

Born May 30, 1944, she was the daughter of Paul E. Shearer, Boiling Springs and the late Anna Louise Reinhard Shearer.

Connie was a 1962 graduate of Carlisle High School and a Joan Lee Beauty School graduate. She was a licensed beautician where she worked with her mother at the former Anna's Beauty Salon. She was a 13 year breast cancer survivor and member of the ABCS - All Breast Cancer Survivors and the Cast on for a Cure. She was an advocate for the Carlisle Area Dog Park Assoc. and was an avid crafter.

Surviving in addition to her father is husband of 46 years, Donald Stevens; a son, Donald Stevens Jr. and his wife Maria, Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Blanche Thompson and her husband Tom, Mechanicsburg; and a brother, Donald P. Shearer and his wife Sue, Landisburg; sister-in-law Susan Stevens Warehime; a granddaughter, Averi Stevens and her mother Sherry Stevens; an adopted granddaughter, Nichole Abu-Aiadeh; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Ava Rae; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Shearer.

Memorial services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, with the Rev. Lois Van Orden officiating. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Burial will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family.
