The World's Home of the Figure 8® is proud of Speedrome champion, Ty Rose. This talented youngster is the only 2009 title winner to come from outside the state of Indiana. This close-knit family brings three generations to the track most weekends traveling from Ohio. The teenager has been very successful at his self proclaimed favorite track over the past few years. He added to that legacy this campaign, his final one in the Bandoleros as a Legend car ride waits for 2010.

Ty Rose and his team travel to many racing venues around the Midwest chasing National points during their summer, but run the majority of times at the Indianapolis Speedrome®. This multi-sport star made ten trips to the famous fifth-mile for regular season division competition. Let's just say he was good during each of those visits. Ty won every single feature he attempted! But, they did not all come easy as late in the year eventual Speedrome champion and good friend Jack Dossey III tested him all the way to the checkered flag. The Young Gun division champion Rose finished 4th in the overall standings.

Some say the #13 is unlucky on a racecar, but Ty Rose has piloted this auspicious number to much success in the Bandoleros. He is the all-time leader in feature victories at the Speedrome. Ty and his dad Kevin make a great one-two combination of driver and crew chief. Do not be surprised to see them in Legend car victory lane early in their foray into that division. The team is sponsored by Roush General Contracting, Miami Machine Corporation, SSI Fabricated, Tony's Barber Shop, and Alfrey Motorsports. The Speedrome would like to congratulate Ty Rose on winning the 2009 Bandolero Young Gun Championship.

This year the celebration Banquet of 2009 will be at Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria on Saturday November 21st. Fans, drivers, car owners, teams, sponsors, and track employees are all welcome to this special event. Our host will have a plethora of tasty items to choose from on the private banquet dinner line before the awards start circulating. Before, during, and after the awards presentation we will be treated to the music of the MereCats. This talented band has been a staple of the Speedrome banquet for several years with their great music. Advance adult tickets are just $30 with kid's 11 and under going for $15. These will cost $35 at the door that night, so get your today. Tickets are on sale now in the Speedrome Pit Office for this full evening of fun, food, music, and awards.
