The premier race with the Biggest purse ($10,000.00) in Canada is in the books for another year and what a race it was. #17 Mac's Convenience Stores sponsored car of Ira Laughy won the race for the third time in four years. Another young racer who was making his Legends racing debut, 15 year old Dex Hucal another ex Kart racer from Edmonton, won the Young Lions Dash for Cash in his #81. He then went on to win the B-Main, and finished 12th overall in the A-Main on the lead lap.
The Mac's "Froster 50" race attracted 33 racers from Western Canada, and the A- Main feature the top 28 legend racers.
#17 Ira Laughy was the low qualifier and lead for 82 of the 83 Laps, including the one that counted the most, the last Lap.
