Tech Bulletin - Updated Safety Notice

(Bandolero seat mounting & head and neck restraints)

Seat Mounting

Please check that when the driver is seated in the car, buckled in, ready to race that his or her helmet is 1" below the bottom of the top roof bar (halo bar).

This can be checked by running a string from the left side to the right side of the bottom of the roof bar (halo bar) above the driver's helmet and then measuring down to the top of the helmet. There must be at least 1" between the top of the helmet and the string.

Also remember, all Bandoleros must have some form of lateral support added to their seatback for the 2004 season (600 Racing, Inc. offers these supports for small and large seats. Please, contact 600 Racing, Inc. for information on these mounts).

Head & Neck Restraints

INEX approved (D-Cell, Hutchens, Hans, G-Force) head & neck restraint systems are mandatory for all drivers 15 years old and younger.

These two rules will be mandatory for the 2004 racing season and you will not be permitted to participate without being in compliance with them. Please prepare your car (seat mounting) and bring the proper equipment with you to the track (head & neck restraint).

Thank you,

Scott Reinhardt (INEX National Tech Director)
